Viva Fiesta

There is a two week long event in our city known as Fiesta, and in the 7 years that we've lived here, we've never participated in a single event. When we first moved here I asked our friend Dennis what it was like and he said, "I'll show you. Get in that closet over there with 50 strangers and I'll splash some beer on you. That's what it's like." Needless to say, we stayed away after that glowing recommendation.

However, we jumped at the chance to make a shoebox float for the Fiesta Parade at Lily's pre-school today. And by we I mean Kyle and Grammie. Kyle built the rolling base, and Grammie was here to do the rest. Lily even got to help a bit. And by a bit, I mean she got to place one little fuzzy ball wherever she wanted to, within the one inch parameter given. Enjoy the results:

Oh my gosh. Well, thank goodness Lily got the creative freedom to put her fuzzy ball in the restricted area of "her" choice. Sounds like a project I was in charge of.

Very chic design.

I hope the crowded-closet-beer-splashing festivities were all you dreamed they would be!
