Bakerella, I am not

My beloved friend Lisa (whom I've unfortunately been separated from since birth until recently) introduced me to cake pops which I think were invented, or at least introduced to the blogosphere, by Bakerella. So I decided to make some for Marlow's upcoming 7th birthday party which will be at our neighborhood pool this weekend.

Marlow, being the typical bossy Canady female, took it upon herself to ask if I'd be staying home from church Sunday morning since she wasn't sure if I'd otherwise have time to get them done. So to really show her I made them two days early, and 350 miles away. Phyllis and I concocted a plan to safely transport them on the journey home and home they will go, cute as they can be. Not perfect, and not nearly as bake-shop-ready as the ones on Bakerella, but hopefully they will meet Miss Bossy Birthday Girl's high standards. Love you Marlotta!

Naked pops
Frosted pops
My first customer (err, second-- Kyle had to approve them first)
